Avaal Technology celebrates the completion of its 28th Successful Batch in the Dispatch Specialist course

Brampton, ON -- April 20, 2008 - A beautiful spring day welcomed Avaal Technology’s 28th graduation ceremony for the Trucking Dispatch Specialist Course. The graduating students successfully completed the 40 hour program where they experienced both classroom and actual hands-on job training to prepare them for their future careers.

Key modules include freight matching, route optimization, border crossing, and obtaining freight contracts. Avaal trains students on TransCore’s 3sixty line of software solutions. The computer based applications are designed to streamline the fleet management process, and ultimately help companies increase profit levels. Brampton City councillor Vicky Dhillon was the Chief Guest at the ceremony, and spoke to the graduates about his personal story of hard-won success from humble beginnings as a taxi driver to his election to the Brampton City Council. Claudia Milicevic, the Senior Director & General Manager of TransCore Link Logistics was also present as a guest speaker. Dr. Ranvir Sharda of the Daily Punjabi Newspaper presided over the event as MC and offered heartfelt words of encouragement. Shortly after the ceremony, students and guests were served a traditional Indian lunch by the Avaal staff and participated in a group photograph session. Graduates from the 28th batch included Abdul Razak Siad, Roman Merkin, Shalender Mann, Balhar Singh Sidhu, Narinder Pal Singh, Jessica Phinn, Bhola Grewal, Baljit Kaur Grewal, Manraj Singh Grewal, Shehla Ahmed.

Avaal has recently announced the start of its Avaal Trucking Logistics Specialist Diploma Program. An intensive postsecondary one year course, it prepares students for the challenges of managing large-scale logistics operations. Modules include Logistics Fundamentals, Inventory Management, Transportation, Warehouse Management, International Logistics, and Supply Chain Management. The course is scheduled to start on June 2nd, 2008 and enrolment is being accepted for both local and international students who meet the educational requirements.
