Avaal Technology conducts its Second Annual Barbeque!
26 Apr 2009
Brampton, ON -- July 30, 2007 - The atmosphere at Avaal Technology Solutions this weekend, was filled with excitement and cheer as the company celebrated its second annual barbeque party. The event was held at the Brampton head office in appreciation of the loyalty and dedication Avaal students and customers have demonstrated towards the company since its initial launch. The highly anticipated event witnessed the attendance of over 400 guests and many media personalities. The afternoon started off with live training seminars on several facets of the trucking industry. Representatives from Avaal started with live demonstrations of their E-Manifest web portal which allow trucking companies to electronically manage and transmit manifests to US Customs and Border officials prior to crossing the border at any land port throughout North America. Avaal also announced its plans to develop a fully integrated dispatch software which would allow small-to-enterprise level organizations to effectively manage their fleets and cut down operating costs by at least thirty percent. There were also additional seminars held to inform students on Avaal’s training services, including the Avaal Dispatch Specialist course and the new one-year government recognized diploma program which train students on the full supply chain management cycle, from manufacturing, warehousing and inventory control, to final delivery.
Shortly after the information seminar, guests presided to the outdoor patio where they were served with food, beverages and snacks. Avaal employees and help volunteers were hard at work as they kept the grill fired up throughout the entire afternoon. On the menu, Avaal served delicious Tandouri style chicken (an Indian delicacy) in addition to hamburgers, hot dogs, and an array of side salads, pastas and fruits. For desert Avaal treated guests with freshly cooked Jalebies among other sweets. After lunch was served, Avaal opened the dance floor to guests, where there was live music courtesy of Irfan Anjum Qaiser. Mr. Qaiser was a former student of the Avaal Dispatch Specialist course and was delighted to entertain students through his impressive vocal abilities. Mr. Qaiser sang several songs off the release of his upcoming album. After his performance Mr. Qaiser and Dara Nagra, C.E.O of Avaal Technologies handed out prizes to guests and selected a winner for the Microsoft Streets & Trips GPS system. Mr. Nam Singh won the prize, as his name was selected out of the ballot box. Mr. Nagra then continued with a speech where he expressed tremendous gratitude towards all students and customers who participated in the event. He also explained that Avaal will continue working closely with students to help them achieve great success in their future business endeavors within the trucking and IT industry.
Before the evening ended several special guest appearances were made, including a speech from Brampton’s Pam Hundal from the PC party of Canada. Mrs. Hundal congratulated Avaal on their achievements throughout the year, and wished guests success in the future. Dr. Ranvir Sharda from The Punjabi Daily Newspaper was also present at the barbeque and helped make the event a stellar success. Other guests included Satinderpal Sidhwan from Punjabi Lehran and Dave Tatla, host and producer of Preetlari.com Radio.
