Brampton, ON -- March 22, 2009

Avaal Technology’s highly anticipated 36th graduation ceremony took place on Sunday. The graduating students successfully completed the Avaal Dispatch Specialist Certificate course. Students learn to effectively manage daily operations in a transportation company, with an emphasis on revenue and profit maximization. As government regulations often threaten corporate earnings, employers are constantly in search for individuals who can economize on current practices, without compromising on service. Avaal’s educational programs prepare students to fulfill this challenging role. Present as Chief Guest for the ceremony was Harpal Dhaliwal, President of the Education Invention Centre of Canada. Also present as a guest speaker was Claudia Milicevic, Senior Director and General Manager for TransCore. Dr. Ranvir Sharda of the Daily Punjabi Newspaper presided over the event as master of ceremonies. After the ceremony, students and guests were served lunch by the Avaal staff and participated in a group photograph session. Graduates from the 36th session included: Gurinder Delhelay, Nirbhai Singh Natt, Mukhtiar S. Brar, Kavitha Thevarajah. Chris Dookeran, Gurcharn Singh, Jatin K. Verma, Sukhminder Mogla, Harneep Singh Bhullar, and Khushwinder Sidhu.

Avaal is also anticipating the imminent graduation of its first batch of students for the Logistics Specialist diploma program. This program covers the full supply chain and logistics management process, and all modes of transport including rail, ocean, road and air. Students acquire the knowledge necessary to design and implement strategies to economize logistics integration between divisions in a large organization. In addition, students acquire the necessary problem solving and analytical skills that prepare them to efficiently process large volumes of data and utilize effective decision making techniques to contain problematic situations. Co-op assignments at partner companies in the logistics industry round out the program, providing students with valuable real-world experience.
